African Reclaimers Association
ARO is a membership-based democratic organisation of reclaimers working with reclaimers in residential areas and landfills. We sort, collect and sell recyclable materials. Currently we have a membership of over 5500 reclaimers in and around the City of Johannesburg.

Tried and tested collection trolleys. Trolleys have been tested over a period of 2 years through the Hippo.co.za pilot project in 2021 – 2023, each covering over 2,000km each, and still going strong. Polyco see these trolleys as the prefered option for informal waste collection.
